Princess Serenity Redesign

I started this extremely late(Monday), but I really, really do love how this turned out! This honestly is one of my personal favorite works of mine. I love every detail right down to her lipstick! Gah--- I'm so excited to present this to everyone!!

The design itself came from the idea of re-creating Serenity once she's starts to reign over Crystal Tokyo. I wanted to create her with a more modern look, but keep her moon princess aura. First, everyone recognizes her by her super long hair, but I thought it would be really different and unique to change that. She's more than her iconic hair, so I bumped her bangs back, let loose her hair, and lightened it (kinda like she's beginning to go from blonde to silvery-white like in the manga.) Next, I love her original dress, but I wanted to add layers and make it much more flowy-- I kept its color for purity. I love trains. I think they're beautiful, especially colored ones! The color for the train I took from King Endymion. I remember reading somewhere, maybe the manga, that his lavender outfit was supposed to be the color of the sunrise/sunset. I wanted this redesign of Serenity's to look like the sunset's with stars. And what could Princess Serenity do without her loyal senshi? I wanted so badly to incorporate something of her senshi in the design, too. I'm super glad I did!
